The Ventura-Santa Board (Unit I) Board of Directors at the meeting in July decided that continuing the boycott is no longer effective to obtain our objectives. It is our intent to offer our services immediately beginning with training for the upcoming 2024-2025 high school season.
However, there is some good news. For the first time in our history, we have been invited to attend a meeting with the Chair of the Officials Fees and Relations Committee. Their fee structure proposal for the next cycle is due in November. Perhaps our efforts were helpful in providing this new opportunity for potential change. It is a step in the right direction. A letter has been sent out to all high school Athletic Directors informing them of our intent.
